[LbNA] Montauk Lighthouse Box

From: E. Bourne (edbees@rcn.com) | Date: 1999-07-24 17:41:00 UTC-04:00
Hello everyone,
Today the whole family drove out to Montauk Point State Park to hide
another box. This one is a little more challenging than the other two (I
hope)!
The drive out there is great. There are a lot of historic areas, great
sightseeing and shopping, so enjoy yourselves.

Happy hunting,

Thank you Tom for all your help & hard work keeping that map in order, it
looks great.

Ed,

It looks like you have chosen a great sight for a letterbox. I think
lighthouses are one of the best possible locations for letterboxes,
and that a series is very much in order here. Randy? I would be glad
to put a page together to this purpose, and have it linked to your
Letterbox Series page.

Your clues are now linked to the Southern New England map, Ed. They
do not appear on the New York map (nor on the New Jersey map) at this
time.

Best,

HeyEd:
Congtats on yet another box in the growing letterbox collection! As I
remember from a long time past, Montauk Point is a stunningly powerful
place. Perfect for a letterbox!

I took a few minutes to again cruise yopur "L.I. letterbox" page, which
is great!

In the above paragraph, 'Dartmoor, England' and Smithsonian Magazine"
don't show up unless highlited by the cursor. (I use Netscape) - thought
you'd like to know.

BTW, great clue and stamp for Montauk! Thanks for putting up the stamp
to encourage others!

Thanks for letting me know. I changed the colors, hope this is better. I
couldn't see the unvisited link color. I'm not sure how to reset IE so that
all links are "new", anyone know?

Thanks again Erik. I just carved another one today for the Long Island Pine
Barrens trail!

In Netscape, it is an option in the preferences menu....
